Honda CBR250 in Nepal


KATHMANDU: Syakar Company — the sole distributor of Honda Motorcycle in Nepal since 1968 — today started taking booking for its premium segment bike Honda CBR250R.

The bike will be displayed at Kantipath Honda showroom and Baudhabari, Wing World Honda Showroom, said Syakar that has offered the bike for Rs 4,49,000 as an introductory price. Honda CBR250R is a 250 cc bike that is smart, capable and fun way to enjoy life on two wheels. The bike — that has come in three different colours — is equipped with traditional CBR qualities like performance, dynamic behaviour and perfect ease of use for day to day use whether in the city or at the race track.

It is equipped with 249.4 cc, 4 stroke, DOHC and 4valve liquid cooled engine. “With the Bore stroke size of 76 X 55 mm, CBR250R is able to produce massive power of 26.4 bhp (18.7KW) which peaks @8500 rpm — Electronically controlled — which makes the power to weight ratio at 163bhp/tone,” the company claimed, adding that its smooth and precise fuel delivery results, more power with less fuel consumption.

The fuel filter of Honda CBR250R is placed outside the fuel tank in order to remove intervention and reduce maintenance costs. “The engine mass is kept low, along with the light weighted rod and pistons. It is facilitated with Iridium spark plug to squeeze out maximum from every drop of fuel and Liquid cooling system maintains the engine temperature.”

According to the company, it consists of six speed gear box with wet multi plate clutch which is designed to exploit the characteristics of the engine at the same time ensuring quicker acceleration and low fuel consumption. Honda CBR250R is the first 250cc motorcycle to come with Combined ABS Technology, it claimed, adding that Honda is known for its petrol fuel efficient engine throughout the world and the Honda CBR250 is not an expectation. “It is able to deliver fuel efficiency of 27Km/litre with a fuel tank that can have 13 litres whi-ch gives more than 350 km.”
